Maho Minami (南 真帆, Minami Maho) is a talented singer and the younger half-sister of Ryusuke "Ray" Minami.
Personality[]
Maho is a brash but emotionally fragile girl who has a tough and confident personality, but she can actually be very insecure and easily hurt.
She is not very confident of her singing although Yukio "Koyuki" Tanaka tries to convince her otherwise and she hopes to one day become a successful actress.
Appearance[]
At the beginning of the series, Maho is a cute girl of average stature and large eyes. She later grew to be slightly taller than average, almost reaching Koyuki’s height. Like her brother, she has shiny, long, black hair. Thorought the series, she maintains the same hairstyle of a let down shoulder length cut, with spindly bangs. She is seen wearing a ponytail. Maho is good looking enough to be an actress, and has long legs.
History[]
Maho lived in America with her brother, Ryusuke, prior to the events of the story. She became fluent in English and was shown to have trouble reading kanji after being away from Japan for so long. Maho also sang in the beginning of the story, performing at a venue where Koyuki was taken by Ryusuke. She also sings to herself some times throughout the story, and on stage at a festival with Koyuki. Maho’s birhday is also April 23rd. Her zodiac sign is a Taurus.

Yukio "Koyuki" Tanaka[]
Throughout the series, Maho gradually develops feelings for Koyuki.
Maho and Yukio's relationship becomes very complex as the series progresses, at times it is unsure that she even has feelings for Youkio but others it becomes very obvious. In the manga they start dating after the american tour.
Ryusuke "Ray" Minami[]
Maho and Ryusuke have a rather touch-and-go relationship where they sometimes they get along fine and at other times fight or refuse to talk to one another. Ryusuke is an older brother figure for Maho. He is aware of her feelings, looks out for her, and tries to help her out with her relationship with Koyuki.

Etymology[]
- The name Maho means "real, genuine" (真) (ma) and "sail" (帆) (ho), which literally means "full sail" altogether.
- Maho's surname Minami means "south" (南).
